Daily Prayer Target

Daily Prayer Target is published by Far East Broadcasting Canada. The sole purpose is to encourage friends and supporters to pray regularly for the worldwide ministry of FEB Radio International.

Tuesday, May 1
Far East Broadcasting in Thailand, is embarking on a project for new hymns and songs in several different languages. Please pray for God's wisdom and guidance, in providing the appropriate words for the music - which will minister to many listeners in a very personal way.

Wednesday, May 2
A listener in Thailand writes, "I enjoy listening to This Big Wide World - I love the program, and like to read books about God."

Thursday, May 3
In Russia, over 20 million people are Muslims. Pray for Far East Broadcasting's Russian ministries, as they produce special programs for Muslim audiences. Hosted by a former Muslim, who has found faith in Jesus Christ, the broadcasts are making "inroads" into the hearts of Muslim listeners.

Friday, May 4
Pray for the Vietnamese ministries of Far East Broadcasting, as listeners are reached by shortwave radio, and IBMD (Internet Broadcasting via Mobile Devices).

Saturday, May 5
"After being a devout Buddhist for 30 years, I accepted Christ as my Lord and Saviour - thanks to your radio broadcasts!" - a listener in Vietnam.

Sunday, May 6
Next Sunday is Mother's Day - please remember FEBCanada missionaries Sionh and Khamyeng Chan in your prayers. In recent years, Khamyeng has expanded her ministry to Khmu women - primarily through her radio broadcasts, and border seminar activities.

Monday, May 7
Please pray for Raymond Lo - director of Far East Broadcasting in Hong Kong - who coordinates the ministry's Gospel broadcasts to China. Pray for God's wisdom and discernment for Raymond, as new avenues to further the Gospel in China are becoming available.

Tuesday, May 8
A listener in China writes, "One of my relatives is a deceitful, wicked person. He has done a lot of terrible things to others, and I hate him. However, in your programs, you say repeatedly that we should forgive people - I am quite confused. Please pray for me."

Wednesday, May 9
Development work is being finalized at FEB Radio International's station Radio Wimbi in Pemba, Mozambique. Please pray for the ministry team, as they continue to work on specific details to impact the community.

Thursday, May 10
A listener in Myanmar writes, "For the past 12 years, my wife and ten children have been under house arrest - because of our faith, and position in the church. In spite of many challenges, we have been greatly encouraged by your broadcasts - they have kept our faith alive."

Friday, May 11
"My husband is addicted to smoking, and goes outside when your programs are on. I used to always quarrel with him, but after listening to you, I stopped quarrelling, and have placed my burden on Jesus." - a listener in India.

Saturday, May 12
Please pray for Edwin Tsang, director of FEBCanada's Chinese ministries, and his ministry colleagues. Programs are produced for broadcast to China, and locally in Vancouver.

Sunday, May 13
Gospel programs aired from Far East Broadcasting in South Korea, are penetrating the shroud of darkness that covers North Korea. Pray that listeners will be "set free" from the spiritual bondage of sin.

Monday, May 14
A listener in South Korea writes, "I would like to express my gratitude to all the servants of God - you have worked so hard to enlarge God's Kingdom, and strengthened the faith of believers in North Korea."

Tuesday, May 15
Please pray for Georgina Stott, director of Far East Broadcasting in Thailand, and her dedicated ministry staff in Bangkok. Each day, Gospel programs are aired on 40 local radio stations throughout the country. The Thai staff also maintain a low-power FM community radio station, which is on the air "16/7".

Please pray for the preparation of FEBCanada's next edition of Daily Prayer Target. Many partners across the nation use this publication, in faithfully praying for the global missionary radio outreach.

Friday, May 18
Far East Broadcasting in Mongolia, has applied for a broadcast license in Erdenet - a city with a population of 110,000 people. Please pray that the application will receive a favourable response from local authorities.

Saturday, May 19
A listener in Mongolia writes, "I knew I was worth something, but I didn't realize that it came from God. Thank you for your radio program - I might never have heard about Jesus, if I hadn't tuned in that day!"

Sunday, May 20
Please pray for the inaugural thanksgiving service, and events celebrating Far East Broadcasting's new FM station in Gwangju, South Korea. Pray that the station will be an effective beacon for the Gospel, in the country's sixth largest city.

Monday, May 21
Six Bible school students, involved in the Khmu ministry in Southeast Asia, will be graduating in October 2012. Please pray for wisdom for the ministry's leadership, in selecting new students from Laos.

Tuesday, May 22
The Middle East team of FEB Radio International, is planning a series of interviews with believers from Muslim backgrounds. Please pray that those involved in the interviews, will speak freely and openly about what matters to them - as they strive to serve the Lord, under arduous circumstances.

Wednesday, May 23
An African listener writes, "Ever since we started listening to your radio programs, we have greater peace amongst 'us Muslims'. We don't have nearly as much discord, as in the past." Pray that the peace these listeners are experiencing, will translate into a personal relationship with Christ, as they continue to listen to the broadcasts.

Thursday, May 24
Superstition is prevalent in Central Asia. Pray that FEB Radio International's Gospel broadcasts to the region, will fill the spiritual void of the listeners.

Please pray for creativity and resourcefulness for the radio staff of Far East Broadcasting's AM stations in Moscow, and St. Petersburg ... as they endeavour to reach listeners in Russia's two largest cities.

Giving a radio is a small investment ... often with a big return, when reaching people with the Gospel message. Please pray for the ongoing distribution of radios to listeners in many countries that Far East Broadcasting ministers to. Pray also for the reliable operation of the radios, especially in hot and humid climates.
